What is the difference between FG%, eFG%, and true shooting?

FG% is made field goals divided by field-goal attempts. eFG% adjusts for the extra point from made three-pointers. True shooting percentage also incorporates free throws to estimate scoring efficiency across field goals and free throws.

Why compare shooting percentage with attempts?

A percentage based on a small number of attempts can move sharply after one game. Attempts and role provide context for interpreting the rate.

Does a jump-height result measure basketball skill?

No. A vertical-jump estimate measures reach difference under a particular test setup. It does not measure shooting, decision-making, or overall basketball performance.

Can these calculators evaluate a player by themselves?

No. They calculate defined statistics from the numbers entered. Use consistent definitions and sample sizes, and combine results with game context and qualified coaching.
